2024 Solar Eclipse. This photograph was taken in Stowe, Vermont as the totality was ending. This image shows the Sun’s corona. The corona is the outermost part of the Sun’s atmosphere. I used a slightly longer exposure to make it more visible. The Sun’s corona is much hotter (by a factor of 150 to 450) than the surface of the sun!
