Return Policy
AlanOuellette.Photography (Effective date: May 1, 2026)
Thank you for your purchase. This Return Policy explains how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled for items purchased through the Alan Ouellette Photography website (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy applies to physical products (such as printed photographs) and it may also apply to certain services if a separate agreement does not state otherwise.
1. Physical Products (Prints and Other Shipped Items)
Because many photography products are produced to order, returns for non-damaged physical items are accepted only as described below. If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, please contact us before sending anything back.
· Return window: Requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery (based on carrier tracking).
· Condition: Items must be unused, in original condition, and packed securely (original packaging preferred).
· Proof of purchase: Please include your order number and the email used at checkout.
· Return authorization: Please request approval before shipping a return. Unapproved returns may be refused.
2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your physical item arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can make it right. In most cases, we will offer a replacement (and may request the item be returned) rather than a refund.
· Your order number.
· Photos of the damage/defect (including packaging, if applicable).
· A brief description of the issue.
3. Photography Services, Sessions, and Custom Work
Service-related purchases (such as photography sessions, event coverage, licensing, commissions, or custom projects) may be governed by a separate written agreement. If no separate agreement applies, deposits/retainers are generally non-refundable because time is reserved and/or preparation work begins upon booking. We will work with you in good faith to reschedule when possible.
4. Shipping Issues
Shipping fees (including any expedited shipping fees) are non-refundable unless we made an error. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or incorrect addresses provided at checkout. If a package is marked delivered but cannot be located, please contact the carrier first and notify us so we can assist with next steps.
5. How to Request a Return, Exchange, or Replacement
1. Contact us with your order number and the reason for the request.
2. Wait for return authorization and instructions (including the correct return address).
3. Ship the item back using a trackable method and pack it securely to prevent damage in transit.
4. Once received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.
6. Refunds
If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days after approval for the refund to be processed, depending on your bank or card issuer. If a returned item shows signs of use, damage not caused by shipping, or is missing original components/packaging, we may deny the return or issue a partial refund.
7. Items Not Eligible for Return/Refund
· Final sale/clearance items (if marked as such at checkout).
· Custom or personalized products made to order where no defect is present.
