2024 Solar Eclipse. This photograph was taken in Stowe, Vermont. The pink 'flames' that are visible in the image are solar prominences. A solar prominence is a plasma loop that is anchored to the Sun's photosphere consisting of electrically charged helium and hydrogen. The large prominence at the bottom of the photography is the size of several Earths. Check out my blog entry on the eclipse for more details about how I captured this image.
