Mansfield Sunset
from $30.00
This photograph of the sun setting behind Mount Mansfield was captured last August from Ricketson Farm on Route 100 (colors courtesy of wild fire smoke).
Ricketson Farm was protected by the Stowe Land Trust with a conservation easement in 2022. The 217-acre farm is one of Stowe's most prominent and productive farmsteads. A conservation easement protects 115 acres of rich, tillable soil for future farm enterprises. The northern, forested section of the property contains a rare peat bog and is part of a regionally-important wetland complex. Combined with adjacent properties already conserved, the Ricketson Farm is part of a 450-acre block of protected farmland along Route 100 just north of Stowe, Vermont.
